As part of the initial survey after the BWTS installation, is a recommendation only. Should the Owners to decide on testing the sample but adverse circumstances to prevent from timely completion of testing the BMA would agree on issuing a full term IBWMC Certificate and addressing the outstanding sample testing as a Memo to the Certificate. The time limit is not set for such delayed testing but is usually accepted as 3 months.
Please also note the amended IBWMC Convention Reg.-E-1 will enter into force from 01 June 2022 and drawing and analysing the sample after the BWTS installation will become mandatory from that date.
